Just had to blog about some new books I've been reading. I'm three quarters of the way through The Red Thread by Ann Hood. I just love her style of writing in general and the subject matter is so interesting to me. It follows several families as they go through the process of adopting a baby from China, interwoven with the story of why each baby was abandoned. The title refers to the belief in China that the baby destined to be yours is connected to the parent by a red thread.
Another book I'm loving is the new cookbook by New Jersey Housewife Teresa Guidice. As she would say, love love love it! :) I have to say that the veal picata is delicious!!! Who knows. Guess I am partial to another Italian jersey girl.
And I really enjoyed the book Orange is the New black by Piper Kerman about her one year in a federal prison after getting mixed up with the wrong person years earlier. Pretty interesting firsthand account!
